Frequently Asked Questions
How Often Should You Moisturize Your Body?
If you're searching for how often to use body lotion to get soft, young-looking skin, there's a simple answer. You should moisturize your body after each time it's exposed to water. Washing your body can strip away natural oils and leave skin thirsty, and dry skin is a leading cause of wrinkles.
For a refreshing and hydrating experience, use the lightweight rosemary mint body lotion with Certified Organic Rosemary and Peppermint. People with stressed, dry skin can try stress-fix™ Body Lotion with pure organic essential oils, such as Lavender and Sunflower Oil to lock moisture in all day.
What Is a Good Body Care Routine for Dry Skin?
If you have dry skin, you should adapt your body skincare routine so it includes products that are formulated with your skin type in mind. Here's an example of a typical body care routine for dry skin:
• Body care starts in the shower. Be sure to avoid scorching hot water, which can open pores and dry skin out.
• People with dry skin should avoid harsh body scrubs and use a bath and body oil, such as stress-fix composition oil™, instead. Certified Organic Sunflower and Jojoba Seed Oil help restore moisture to the skin and relieve stress.
• Always follow up a bath or shower with a nourishing moisturizer, such as shampure™ Body Lotion. This blend is enriched with Certified Organic Olive Oil and 25 pure flower and plant essences for all-day moisture and hydrated skin.
Is Body Wash the Same as Soap?
While some people think there's a major body wash and soap difference, this isn't actually the case. The main way they differ is in appearance, although many body washes are formulated with additional moisturizers that combat dryness. That said, body washes might contain harsh chemicals, so be sure to select one that's enriched with hydrating ingredients. For example, Aveda's Cherry Almond Hand and Body Wash contains Babassu Nut, Cherry Blossom, and Sweet Almond Oil. The non-drying formula cleanses while replacing the body's natural oils.
If you prefer a soap bar, check out the Rosemary Mint Bath Bar, which also lightly exfoliates skin to leave it radiant and soft. One isn't necessarily better than the other; it mostly comes down to preference.
How to Use Body Scrub
Body scrub is a must-have item for people who love the feel of smooth, exfoliated skin. By removing dead skin cells, you encourage new ones to grow and reduce blocked pores. Here's a quick guide on how to apply body scrub:
• Prepare your skin by warming it up in the bath or shower
• Switch off the shower or stand up if you're in the bath, and liberally apply the scrub to your skin. Opt for cherry almond body scrub, with Walnut Shells and Bamboo to polish skin and the sweet scent of cherry blossom and almond oil
• Use circular motions to gently buff the skin all over your body
• Carefully rinse off all of the scrub and pat skin dry. Follow up with a deeply hydrating moisturizer.

for cruelty-free research.
BCRF is a nonprofit organization founded in 1992 by Evelyn H. Lauder and is the only national organization strictly dedicated to funding clinical and genetic research on breast cancer at medical institutions across the country, including Columbia University.
Every October, a portion of the purchase price from each sale of our hand relief™ moisturizing creme is donated to BCRF. Since 2001, we have raised $7 million to help fund BCRF cruelty-free breast cancer research that explores potential environmental causes and links to breast cancer.
